Ingredients

Filling:
 4 medium apples
 2 large pears
 50 g fruit cake mix
 100 g mascavado brown sugar
 5 l cinnamon
 4 cloves
 60 ml apple juice
 30 ml corn flour
Crumble:
 125 ml almond flour
 125 ml coconut flour
 125 ml mascovado sugar
 5 ml baking powder
 3 ml salt
 50 g finely chopped walnuts
 50 g roughly chopped walnuts
 80 ml desiccated coconut
 125 g butter (at room temperature)

Directions

Filling:

Peel and core the apples and pears. Cut into large chunks and place in a medium saucepan with the remaining filling ingredients.

Bring to the boil and simmer for about 8 Minutes. Do not allow the fruit to begin getting mushy.

Spoon the fruit into a dish. Remove the cloves.

Combine all ingredients and rub in the butter until it is completely combined.

Crumble the topping over the prepared apples, take care to cover it completely.

Place the dish on a baking sheet to catch any juice from the apples that will bubble up.

Bake for 30 Minutes.

Serve warm with coconut cream or custard.
